Eco Hotel

The only hotel certified High Environmental Quality (HQE) in the area, the Hotel Gondwana ** ensures strong values and features to be able to have the HQE Label and be part of an eco-responsible environment.

For example, windows and doors guarantee acoustic and thermal insulation, LED lighting makes it possible to control electricity consumption, fans, which are particularly efficient, limit the use of air-conditioning.

Less visible but just as effective, ecological installations and processes play the game of sustainable development behind the scenes, with photovoltaic panels and the first thermodynamic water heaters on the rooftops, waste sorting and recycling and electric bikes for rent.

Our History

On the grounds of the Gondwana Hotel ** in Nouméa, there was previously the Lutetia hotel. Historical hotel in New Caledonia, among the oldest of Nouméa (created in 1956), the Lutetia was, for many years, the place for the Caledonians coming from up north of the main island or from the loyalty islands, they all found that accommodation in the city center was cheaper and handier as close to everything.

In 2008, the new owners dreamt of a new establishment focused on the future and especially being eco-responsible. The specifications were ambitious and dense, and it took 9 years of study and deadlines for obtaining funding that will lead to the Hotel Gondwana **.
Family-owned and committed to good value for money and the environment, Hotel Gondwana is a world in its own right. The family, the social bond, the community are at the heart of the hotel’s values, which is why it offers innovative services to keep you feeling “at home”.
